Ik ben bezig geweest met deze kleine werken. Ze zijn ongeveer dezelfde maat als de Red Pines.
Voor deze serie (het zijn er in totaal 8) heb ik nog geen naam. Ik heb de stof met verf bewerkt met behulp van een creditcard, hierna heb ik de stof op vilt gestikt en het daarna machinaal geborduurd.
Hierna wil ik ze nog ergens op vast zetten, om het steviger te maken. Ik ben nog steeds op zoek naar een goede ondergrond. Morgen geen post, ik ben met mijn werk een dagje naar Amsterdam. Vanaf hier is dat ongeveer 2,5 uur rijden en de verwachting is dat we pas rond 11 uur terug zijn en dan moet ik nog naar huis. De dag is redelijk vrij te besteden, dat is wel lekker, dus ik ga in ieder geval de tentoonstelling van Saskia Weishut bekijken. En er staat nog een bezoekje aan Scrapland op het programma…..het gaat dus een hele leuke dag worden.
I‘ve been busy with this little pieces. They almost have the same size as the Red Pines. I don’t have a name for this series (there are 8 of them) yet. I used a credit card to apply some paint on the fabric; then I have stitched the fabric on another layer of felt and embroidered the piece. After this I will stitch it on just another layer to make it firm. But I am still searching for a good background. Tomorrow no post, I am a day off with my colleagues. We go to Amsterdam, from here it is about 2,5 hours driving and they expect to be back at 11 o ‘clock and then I have to drive home… The day is pretty much for own purpose, that’s great, so I go and visit a exhibition of Saskia Weishut. And I am also visiting Scrapland….It is gonna be a lovely day.
