The First book I bought is Altered Book Collage. Very Mixed Media, nice pictures, good directions. I am still trying to find mt way here between fabric books and more collage style with paper and so. This is one of the reasons that I am still buying magazines about scrapbooking etc. There must be a connection; it will come to me some day. They use a lot of stuff that we use in textile; the name Tim Holz is also familiar to them. Could we just have a large brainstorm session, who knows what comes out? I read the magazines every now and than and think: what are they talking about, cropping? If we only could mix thing together, we could learn so much from each other. Think about the painters experience with gesso and gel medium.

Hi Jacqueline!
I agree to you! I also want to learn me more about mixed media, I want to do more collage. And I think that "papperpeople" they will learn to use more fabrics ans stitching in their works, and I came from the textile world, I will learn what they do :-))
I have done a card ( mail art?) to you yesterday, but will take a photos first, and sent it to you tomorrow
:-) Gunnel
