Even weer orde op zaken stellen. Ik heb dus een nieuwe camera gekocht (zolang mijn oude ter reparatie is wat ongeveer 6 tot 8 weken kan duren) Hierna was ik nog niet zeker dat het goed zou komen, dit is al de tweede keer in drie jaar. De winkel zegt dat het een bekend probleem is en dat alle camera’s van dat model al een keer zijn terug gebracht maar wat heb ik daar aan. Dus heb ik gisteren een nieuwe (beter merk) gekocht. Uiteraard geavanceerder dan mijn vorige camera dus het kost even wat tijd om dit onder de knie te krijgen (je kunt er zelfs sepia foto’s mee maken, dat gaf wel de doorslag) Je kunt aan mijn vorige foto's al zien dat het nog niet echt lukt, de kaarten lijken wel helemaal bol te staan, zo zien ze er dus niet echt uit, maar weet nog niet hoe dat moet. Lynda vroeg me naar de foto uit mijn archief. Sorry van de week was ik te gehaast er iets meer over te vertellen, zal ik bij deze doen.
De titel van de quilt is: Verbintenis.
Hij bestaat uit drie handgeverfde panelen, waarvan de middelste is ingesneden (op de Mola manier) zodat de stof eronder zich weer laat zien.
De koper kleurige panelen zijn stukjes stof die over elkaar heen zijn gelegd tussen twee lagen watersoluble, hierna heb ik ze gestikt en de watersoluble laten oplossen.
Ik heb ze vast gestikt op de buitenpanelen en de panelen aan elkaar verbonden (vandaar de titel) doormiddel van koorden. De koorden bestaan uit strengen schapenwol waar ik over heen heb gestikt op de machine om ze steviger te krijgen en hier en daar heb ik kleine opgerolde stukjes van de koperkleurige stof mee gestikt. Hij is inmiddels al weer een jaar of drie/ vier oud, dus hij kwam echt uit het archief.

I thus bought a new camera (as long my old one is away for repair, what takes almost six to eight weeks) After that I can’t be sure that this problem is solved, this is the second time in three years. The store says that is a well-known problem and that all camera’s , same type have been brought back, but what is that do for me? So I bought another one yesterday (better brand) Obviously more advantaged than my old one, so it will take a while till I sorted it out. ( you can even make sepia pictures with it, that settled the matter)You can see it at the pictures of the AMC's, they seem bold, but they aren't for real, so I have to sort this out. Lynda asked me about the picture from the archives. Sorry, this week I was so in a hurry that it didn’t tell anything about it, I’ll tell you now.

It contains three hand painted panels, the middle one is cut on the Mola way, so that the underlying fabric is shown.
The two copper panels are made of little pieces of fabric, laid over one another between two layers of watersoluble, after that I stitched them and dissolved the watersoluble. I stitched them to the background and joined them together (that’s where the title came from) by using cords. De cords I made of strings of sheep wool, that I stitched over with the sewing machine; to firm them a bit. I put some little rolled copper fabric on the cords and stitched it with them. The quilt is about three or four years old now, so it is from the archives.
