ATC

serie 1

serie 2
serie 3

I am working on a new serie ATC’s, they aren’t finished yet but I show a taste of it already. Series 1; contains black lace, sometimes combined with velvet. Series 2; is a combination of screen-printing and stamping, it is a bit resembling to paper ATC’s and at last series 3; raise organza, painted with acryl in the way I am working at the moment. I like to make my ATC’s simple and get the attention on the fabric design by screen printing/ monoprint or stamping. The embroidery is of minor importance. That why I like trading so much. Everyone has his own ability’s and I like every ATC I get so far, because it is unique and says something about the person behind it. Sometimes you hear people complain, from fibermail groups: I made this beautiful card myself and I got rubbish back. Maybe it is, but I take the view that everyone does whatever is possible and has a lot of fun doing that. That ‘s a fact that is to value. We all started once a time. We often forget to value the pleasure AND each other. (this not contains my blog friends because there are very generous and stimulating) The world is big enough for everyone of us. And what about the nice contacts that left? Sorry, I just love diversity…

Jacqueline - what a beautifully written post. I really agree with you - it is so easy really to appreciate what someone has created if we don't evaluate everything based on our own tastes and level of accomplishment, and as you say we all start somewhere! I just have to look back on my early stamping art to appreciate the journey I am on. Your ATCs are intriguing and I hope you post the finished series. I'd love to trade with you anytime!! Debbi B

I totally agree with all you say Jacqueline. If someone has put time and effort into their creation then who are we to turn around and say it looks rubbish?
I love all your ATC's. The first two look intriguing and of course I know first hand what the last two look like close up :)

I like your ATC's and agree with you. Any technique an artist uses is fine with me. If it is something I don't do, then I have something new in my collection. Who are we to judge it. The fact that people are creating is the important one. Sandy in La Center

Jacqueline I also agree with you and the others.
The main thing is to share what we do and only by sharing will we learn and grow.

I agree with every word. We all have to start somewhere and improve as we learn more. It would be so boring if we all liked the same things.

Jacqueline, your ATC's are looking wonderful. Your comments about creating was such an inspiring read for me at the moment, as I'm having one of those "I'm not very creative" moods. Beautifully written!!
