Heat gun again

My computer problems are finally solved. It was very inconvenient. It took me more time than I expected though, it was a very busy weekend, a meeting, birthday party and these nasty computer problems, and therefore I couldn’t manage to get much work done. I am still busy melted all kinds of material with my heat gun, especially Angel wire is my favourite at the moment. I tried combining all sorts of material, tried a lot of colour combinations….one way or another I have the feeling that I am gonna find THE combination. Some combinations are beautiful but I know for sure that I am gonna find one that is really stunning :-) Do you recognize that feeling? So I am going to experiment more, also with the hologram paper. Now, I am not such an organized person that makes lots of experiments just for documentation (maybe that would be better) I always want to use it, maybe because I like recycling? So all experiments are turning, because of the size, into post cards at the moment. These are the first two.

Hi!
Yes! Yes! Yes! I recognize the fascination with the experiments and the desire to document...a desire that never quite becomes a reality.

Yes! I recognize the need to seek a most favorite method of working and the urge to recycle. This is a great post...and great post cards!

Hi Jacqueline
Great to see you back on the blog! These post cards are great, especially the bottom one, I love the change of direction with the swirls against the stripe in the under fabric. I know what you mean about the documentation, and I do find keeping the blog is a good incentive for that! And yes wouldn't that be great to find that something that really 'floats your boat'!

The top one is really yummy.
I too have started to make all my experiments into postcards with an explaination printed on the back about the process. Serves two purposes: firstly uses up the samples and secondly have always got a postcard made and ready for when needed.
Glad to see your pc problems have now been solved.

Great postcards. I too have that desire to find the thing(s) that really get your creative juices flowing. But it always seems to be just out of reach.

Your postcards are a great way to document all of your textile trials. Both of these are great!!
