Er is iets vreselijk raars gebeurd. Ik was mijn hobbyspullen aan het uitpakken om opnieuw op te ruimen en in de doos waar ik mijn klein werk bewaar wilde ik nog iets erbij stoppen. Tot mijn grote verbazing zag ik dat de twee experimenten die ik een tijd geleden met witte latex had behandeld groen waren geworden. Oxidatie? Ik had er ook wat goudkleurige treasure wax opgedaan, zou dat het zijn? Ik begrijp er echt niets van. Het kan moeilijk de onderliggende kleur zijn wat dat is rood.

Something really strange happened. I was organizing my materials and wanted to put them into boxes again. I got this box where I store my little works, and I wanted to put something in it when I saw, to my big surprise, that the two experiments I painted a while ago with latex turned into green. Oxidation? I did put some gold treasure wax on it, is that the cause? I don’t really understand what happened. It couldn’t be the colour that is beneath because that is red. Have anyone has experience with this?

Thanks for the comments on my blog. I am very excited about the new exhibition scheduled for next year and have lots to do before then.
Your stitching is just amazing. I will have to try meandering in your method because I've never figured out how to do it otherwise. Your lines of stitching are unbelievably beautiful. The paint over the top of your recent "test" piece is stunning with its strong contrast and rich texture. If you figure out the oxidation on the small pieces, let me know how to duplicate the results!
