Vanmorgen een hele poos geleerd, daarna naar de galerie vanwege de open atelierdagen. Het was vreselijk druk, met het gevolg dat ik nu ook een enorm pijnlijke rug heb van het staan.
Toch zijn al die contacten erg leuk en doen je ook enorm goed. Mijn allerleukste bezoeker vandaag was 10 jaar oud, zij bezoekt samen met haar moeder allerlei tentoonstellingen en schrijft hiervan verslagen op haar EIGEN weblog!!! Geweldig, ik vind nog steeds dat we de jeugd nooit genoeg kunnen aanmoedigen zich voor kunst te interesseren. Ik zal haar weblog met grote trots tussen mijn links plaatsen. Ik heb nog een ATC gemaakt met lijm, deze keer was ik wel zo verstandig het eerst te stikken. Ook vond ik nog een tweede ATC, die alleen nog maar rondom gestikt hoefde te worden. Er raakt er af en toe wel eens eentje verloren tussen de opgestapelde boeken op mijn bureau.
This morning I was studying hard, afterwards to the gallery because of the open gallery day. There where so many visitors today, my back really hurts from standing all the time. But these contacts are so nice and it is a great thing to do. My favourite visitor today was a ten year old girl, she visit all kind of exhibition with her mum, and writes about it on her OWN weblog!!!! I think that is really great, we can't stimulate the youth enough to have some interest in Arts. I shall put her weblog with proud between my links. I made another ATC with glue, only this time I was so wise to stich it first. I also found a second ATC, that only needed the edges stitches. Sometimes an ATC got lost between the stack of books on my desk.

Maar ik word zo wel erg nieuwsgierig naar de andere kunstwerken, vlgs mij kan je wel een hele grote expostie vullen.

I'm sorry that I haven't been reading blog blog this past week. I seem to read your blog last...like "saving the best until last"! I really want to pay attention to your words and insights as well as the images. So, this morning I don't have much time...but I'm ONLY READING YOUR BLOG...not even my own email messages!
Anyway, like you, I think it is very important to foster an appreciation in the arts among the youth of today. Who is going to be buying our work in the future if we don't educate them today? Who is going to be carrying on our love of fibers if we don't teach them? It is so important!
I hope all your studying is going well and that the exam went perfectly. As I read along, I'll likely know!
By the way, I really admire the way in which you can make major works of arts and still manage to make the trading cards and postcards. I don't even know what is involved in making these things. One day, I'm going to learn the sizes and the requirements. For now, I'll just admire yours!
