Enige tijd geleden vroeg ik aan Susan waar ze haar nieuw gekochte embellisher voor ging gebruiken. Ik moet eerlijk zeggen dat ik mijn embellisher niet zo vaak gebruik als zou moeten. Ik hou er nu eenmaal van dingen snel af te krijgen, met de embellisher zit het vaak of niet helemaal goed vast en moet je er alsnog met de naaimachine overheen of het kost heel erg veel tijd…waarschijnlijk ben ik daar te ongeduldig voor, maar nu heb ik hem toch weer maar eens uit de kast gehaald. (hij stond echt wegens ruimte op mijn werktafel letterlijk in de kast) Ik heb me voorgenomen om er deze week iedere dag een uurtje in ieder geval mee te werken. Misschien dat dan eindelijk het kwartje valt?

I like working fast and with the embellisher it sometimes doesn’t stick very well and you have to stitch it also with the sewing machine to keep it firm. (or I am too impatient?) But now I have taken it out of the closet (he actually was in the closet because I have no space on my desk available) I will try to work everyday for one hour on it this week. Maybe the penny will drop?

En ik maar denken dat ik de enige was niet enthousiast was over de happylock!!
Oh dear, I must confess mine is back in it's box stuck in a corner - I just can't get enthusiastic about it, even though I have instructions and a book for inspiration!
Jacqueline I think you may be a little impatient because there is no way that I would have to stitch mine down to hold the fibres in place.
I love my embellisher and I try to use it every day if I can.
I haven't used mine to it's full potential yet either. But, I intend to - some day!!!
