All kinds of things...

This post is about all kinds of things...Some time ago I won a prize on Doreens blog, it was her second anniversary of her blog. The prize itself was a surprise, so I was very curious when I saw the package in the mail Friday, it was this lovely tassel which I don't know how you call it in Dutch? Once again, thank you very much Doreen.

The English translation of Colours of Africa is on the blog, again: I'll hope you all want to join us. I have to work very hard for the Colours of Africa exhibition. Fortunately I have quite some time for it, but the work for TeXui has to be ready in March and I am starting to get behind on my schedule because of my back problems. One day is better than the other and the trick is not doing too much on the better days because you got blown the whistle right away. Yesterday I started with the white book. It goes very fast because I am using the old embroideries that I once made. I have found another large white embroidery work that I once made during my textile education and cut it in a few parts. I also found an embroidery that had a white base but the embroidery itself was a dark blue, so what do you do, just use the paint brush on it. Although it was hard to found the right colour, I don't have a clue how I will make this book, I use allready lace an felt and I think I want more lace in it, maybe on the corners, some beads maybe? The small pieces are easier to sew than a large piece, still I feel guilty, I should be doing the large quilt for TeXui instead of this. But my arm can't reach that far at the moment, I hate it that I am no longer in control.....!!!!!!

I love your white book Jacqueline. I'm sure it could take a few beads. Don't feel guilty, you have to make allowances for your pain. I'm sure you will catch up once you feel better. Take care.

I too love all those white pages. I do sympathise with your very bad back, please take care and carry on making small stuff. Maybe you can join them together to make a quilt?

You have to be a little bit patient, I know it must be very frustrating, but the work in your white book looks wonderful, each page looks so right with the next one.

Thank you so much for your lovely comment on post :-)
