New pages

Ik ben van mezelf redelijk gedisciplineerd, ik maak meestal alles af. Iedere keer als ik aan iets nieuws wil beginnen herinner ik mezelf er aan dat het India journal nog af moet (de quilt trouwens ook nog) en doe een paar pagina's. Ik heb gisteren de achterkant nog gemaakt (bovenste foto) en twee paginá's over de onderste ben ik nog niet zo tevreden, daar moet ik nog iets aan doen. Het is een combinatie tussen textiel en papier aan het worden, toch lijkt het niet op een scrapbook omdat het een persoonlijk journal is. Het is mijn inspiratiebron die mij tot een aantal grotere textielwerken brengt, de quilt (s) lopen naast het journal. Ik moet nog zes pagina's en dan is het boek vol. Als traktatie mag ik vanavond aan iets nieuws beginnen. Zo voelt het meestal: een traktatie...! Onrustig, opgewonden, waar loop ik nu weer tegen aan, hoe ga ik het doen, het is net een kadootje wat je uitpakt:-)

I am a really disciplined person, I useally finish every project I start. Every time I want to start something new I remind myself that I still have the India journal to finish (the quilt also) and I do a couple of pages. Yesterday I made the back of the journal (top picture) and two more pages, the botom one is not what I had in mind I have to develop that. It is becoming a combination of textile and paper, although it isn't a scrapbook, it is more personal. It is my insparation source that brings me to work on larger pieces, the quilt(s) are running next to the journal. I have to do only six more pages before it is finished. As a treat I can start something new tonight. That's how it feels: een treat...! Agitated, exited, what am I up against, how I am gonna do this, it is just a little present that you unwrap:-)
