Ik koop eigenlijk nooit stof en als ik stof koop is het witte katoen om te verven of organza of iets in die trend. Deze week heb ik in Wilwerwitz toch stof gekocht. Er stond een mevrouw met prachtig geverfde stoffen en ik kon deze twee niet weerstaan. Ik ben van plan om ze vrij intensief te gaan borduren dus neem ik ze mee op vakantie. In de ene lap zie ik echt een soort bloemen of korenveld en die andere wordt misschien iets abstracts. Ik moet nu iedere avond een nieuwe sandwich maken om voldoende voorraad te hebben op vakantie. Eigenlijk wilde ik mijn boek nog afmaken voor de vakantie maar dan loop ik het risico dat ik in de vakantie niks te doen heb dus moet dit even voorgaan.
Ik zit er over te twijfelen om het deze keer misschien andersom te doen en in plaats van sandwiches een tas vol met stof mee te nemen en dat zal het dan moeten worden. Heb je je dat al eens afgevraagd hoe dat zou zijn, dat je in plaats van de beschikking te hebben over je hele voorraad, je moet beperken tot slechts één tasje? Kan ik dat überhaupt nog wel :-) ? Op zich ook een leuke uitdaging, en het zou ook wel tijd geven voor andere dingen. Ik heb ook een soort van schrikbeeld, dat ik na de masterclass volgende week ineens heel andere inspiratie heb opgedaan en dat ik dan net de goede dingen (stoffen) niet bij me heb!!!!! I hardly buy fabric anymore, and when I do it is always white fabric for dyeing or organza, or something like that. This week I bought some fabric in Wilwerwitz. There was a lady with beautiful hand dyed fabric and I couldn’t resist these two. I have planned to embroider it very intense, so I take them with me on my holiday. In one of the pieces I see a kind of a flower or grain field, the other one is a bit abstract maybe. I have to make one sandwich an evening to have enough work during my holiday. I wanted to finish my book before my holiday but than I risk not having enough work during my holiday, so first things first. I doubt to do things in an other way this time, in stead of taking sandwiches with me, taking a bag with fabrics and that’s it! Did you ever wonder how it would be; in stead of having your whole collection of fabrics to chose from, to have only one bag with fabrics and you have to make something of it? Is that possible for me :-) ? It is an exiting challenge, and it would give me more time for other things. I have some kind of terror, that, when I am done with the master class next week, I have a whole different inspiration and I don’t have the right stuff (fabric) with me!!!! To be continued…
