Na drie weken vakantie morgen weer werken, voor het eerst in jaren heb ik mijn naaimachine niet mee genomen maar alleen een schetsboek, wat verf en twee houten boekjes. We zijn naar de kust in Frankrijk geweest, een huisje aan het strand op de grens van Normandië en de Picardie. Schetsboekjes is niet veel van terecht gekomen in plaats daarvan heb ik twee houten boekjes bewerkt. Het eerste boekje bestaat uit zee gezichten, ik heb het naar het park genoemd waar we verbleven Odalys. Het tweede boekje komt maar niet af lijkt het wel, ik heb een fout in de kleur gemaakt die ik maar niet kan herstellen...misschien dat ik vanaf morgen weer beter in mijn ritme kom....
After three weeks of holiday I have to go back to work tomorrow, for the first time in years I didn´t took my sewing machine with me, only a sketchbook, some paint and two wooden books. We went to the coast of France, a cottage at sea on the border of Normandië and the Picardie. I didn´t do much sketch booking but instead of that I worked on the wooden books. The first book is filled with sea sides, I named it after the park where we stayed Odalys. The second book still needs finishing, which I don´t seem to get done, I made a mistake on the colour that I can´t recover...maybe after tomorrow when I go back to my normal working rhythm.

Your book pages are gorgeous, Jacqueline, I love the atmosphere of the coast that you've achieved with the colours and texture and the simple lines of the sketches.
Ben je een beetje bijgekomen?
Leuk dat je terug bent. Wij kennen die omgeving ook, hebben er jarenlang (aan de kust) wat rondgezworven. Meestal hadden wij een tent mee.
Je werk komt goed over bij mij, altijd moeilijk om dat van een Blog te beoordelen, maar ik vind het wel wat hebben....
