What I also did in the meanwhile was organizing my study again, at least, that was my goal but I ended with a lot of stuff and made a larger mess than it was already. When I started with textile years ago, we didn´t had a computer. I borrowed books from the library and I photocopied techniques and ideas that I liked. I was very fanatic about it and tried to collect everything I could get my hands on. I found the copies this week and it was so much that I could easily buy three books from the money I spend on it (copy 0,10 cent a page) I am still like that only now I copy everything to my computer and I can’t find it after wood:-) because it is so much. Some people think that making art quilts is faster and easier than the traditional work, well that’s not true. I am very serious about my work and I am still studying techniques, art and books. I also try to follow every new material that comes on the market, and the possibilities. What I don’t do anymore is making drawings to design, it is all in my mind which way I want to go and I build it up in layers. I realised that when I found my old work books. I was so fanatic, my first designs where variations on old blocks. I went to the library and photocopied them 20 times, coloured them and cut them into pieces, than I played with them till I found something that pleased me. I even found a design where I cut some little tiny pieces of fabric that I glued on it to see which colour I liked:-) I had to smile when I saw it, still they all end up in the paper waste.(we have a large container to put in old paper and once a month they come to collect it) The word Grow is constantly in my head……….
