ATC book

Het boek van gisteren is per ongeluk ontstaan. Ik was op zoek naar ondergrondstof voor het eigenlijke boekje wat ik wilde maken en per toeval pakte ik deze stof vast, die ik een tijd geleden geverfd en gestempeld had. Zo groeien dingen soms gewoon…..vandaag opnieuw aan de slag met het boekje wat ik uiteindelijk voor ogen had, ik ben dus nu aan twee exemplaren tegelijk bezig. Had toch niks te doen hi, hi…Ik vergat nog te melden dat ik in Frankrijk het ATC boek van Isabelle Auroux op de kop heb getikt. Een tijd geleden mailde ze mij en vroeg of ze mijn werk er voor mocht gebruiken, we hadden een tijd geleden ATC’s geruild. Ik vond het een hele eer en heb uiteraard toestemming gegeven. Het zou om twee ATC’s gaan maar ik kwam er achter dat er bij een van de twee een verkeerde voornaam staat. Pech, toch leuk om je werk gepubliceerd te zien.

The book from yesterday is started by accident. I was searching for a background fabric for the book I had in mind and coincidently I took this pink fabric I dyed and stamped some time ago. Sometimes work grows on its own…..today I started the book that I really had in mind, so I am now working on two books. I didn’t had anything to do anyway LOL..I forgot to mention that I found the ATC book from Isabelle Auroux in France. A while ago she mailed me to ask if she could use my work for the book, we traded some ATC’s a while ago. Off course I found it a great honour so I gave permission to use them. It supposed to be two ATC’s but seeing the book I realized that they used the wrong name on one of them. That’s a pity but still nice to see your work published.

Ik ben dol op een bepaald soort reisboeken. Je ziet ze niet zo heel vaak, ik heb er zelf twee, beide in Frankrijk gekocht. Het is een combinatie van foto’s, tekeningen en verhalen. Ik vind ze heel inspirerend dus heb ik besloten zelf ook zo een soort boek te gaan maken. Ik moet nog een thema kiezen. Uit voorzorg heb ik al wel wat sfeer/ inspiratie foto’s laten afdrukken. Ik twijfel of ik er echt een reisboek van ga maken of dat ik gewoon een boek in die stijl ga maken. Voor beide is iets te zeggen al wordt het wel een eenzijdig thema in dat geval want onze meeste reizen gaan bijna altijd naar Frankrijk of Italië. Ik ben dol op beide landen en ben nog steeds niet uitgekeken. Misschien moet ik er gewoon eerst een aan beginnen, de foto’s die ik heb laten afdrukken komen allemaal hier uit Zeeland. Dus een Zeeuws boek hoort ook nog bij de opties:-)

I love a certain type of travel books. You don’t see them very often, I have two of them, and both of them bought in France. It is a combination of pictures, drawings and story’s. I find them very inspiring, so I decided to make such a journal of my own. I only have to find a theme. In advance I ordered some sphere/ inspiration pictures. I doubt if I will make a travel journal from them or just something like it in this style. I like them both but maybe the theme is too one-sided because almost all of our journeys go to France or Italy. I love both countries very much and I still haven’t seen enough of them. Maybe I just have to start; the pictures that I ordered are all from Zeeland where I live. So a Zeeuws book is also one of the options:-)

Book

Langzamerhand loop ik weer een beetje in, ik heb van het weekend wat achterstand in kunnen halen (ook allerlei huishoudelijke klusjes) en dat geeft weer wat meer rust. Volgende week donderdag kan ik eindelijk naar de chiropractor, ik hoop dat hij me kan helpen want ik leef nog steeds op pijnstillers. Ik ga wel gewoon naar mijn werk (met veel rustpauzes tussendoor) maar dat betekend dat ik thuis niet veel meer kan doen, alleen veel afwisseling zoeken en niet teveel dezelfde beweging maken. Gisteravond heb ik eindelijk mijn laatste boek afgemaakt. Ik sta eigenlijk te popelen om aan een nieuw boek te beginnen maar ik heb mijn India journal ook nog steeds niet af. Keuzes maken……..

Slowly I am getting on track again, this weekend I have managed to make up some arrears. (including a lot of domestic jobs) which gives more rest. Next Thursday I can finally go to the chiropractor, I’ll hope he can help me because I am still living on painkillers. I do go to my work (with a lot of breaks in between) but that means that I can’t do much anymore when I come home except finding variety and not do the same moves over and over again. Yesterday I finally finished my last book. I am anxious to start a new one but I still haven’t finished my India journal.
