A piece of Art

Tijdens de Kunstroute vorige week heb ik een schilderij gekocht. Het heeft geen titel en de kunstenaar is Jo Fassaart. Hij maakt prachtig werk, het was heel moeilijk om er een van te kiezen. Inmiddels heeft het een ere plekje aan de muur, qua kleur past het ook heel goed in ons interieur. Wat me vooral aanspreekt is zijn gebruik van lagen, bijna niet te geloven dat het echt verf is, van dichtbij lijkt het wel keramiek. Ook de structuur is prachtig van opzij, vooral in het avondlicht. Ik ben er heel erg blij mee.

During the Kunstroute last week I bought a painting. It doesn’t have a title and the artist is Jo Fassaart. He makes beautiful work; it was very hard to choose one. In the mean while it found its way to a prominent spot on the wall, the colours match beautiful with our interior. What I like the most is his use of layers; you can’t almost believe that it is paint; from up-close it looks like ceramic. The structure is also beautiful from aside, especially in the evening light. I am very pleased with it.

Art for Diana

Een tijdje geleden kwam ik in contact met Diana, ik volgde haar blog al een tijdje maar had nog niet eerder een commentaar gegeven. Ik ben dol op haar werk, het is echt prachtig! Na een hele leuke mail wisseling hebben we afgesproken samen een kunstwerk te ruilen. Omdat we beiden heel divers werk maken was het even moeilijk kiezen. Dit is mijn werk voor Diana, het gaat deze week op de post!

A while ago I came in contact with Diana, I follow her blog for a while but didn’t add comment before. I love her work, it is really gorgeous! After a nice mail conversation we decided to trade some art work. Because we both make such divers work it was hard to choose. This is my piece for Diana, it is on the mail this week!
